Mummified Monk

One of the must-see things on Koh Samui is their infamous mummified monk at a Buddhist temple. The monk has been dead over 30 years - and no chemicals have been used to preserve his body, no air conditioning, nothing. Buddhists therefore believe that his body has been preserved in a natural state due to the enlightened mental state the monk achieved before death. He is wearing sunglasses because "one of his eyes has fallen out and it doesn't look very nice". Sounds fair. Check out the pics and vid:
