Early mornings

Breakfast done. Suncream on. Book in bag. And ready for a few hours of flops by the sea before walking over to the fest. It's rather windy though - think my tube/pipe may fill with water if I snorkel. Is "snorkel" a verb?

Late nights

So Soundwave Croatia has kicked off! It's like some mad MTV beach party with thousands of young holiday makers getting rowdy in the late night heat. Plenty of dancing in bikinis on podiums - you know the sort. The tunes have been massive though - and we watched 4 DJ sets in a row last night - shaking what our mommas gave us (not much in my case).
This was my view as I walked back to the hotel - with a headtorch on!

Ladies and gents, this is a rather blurred photo of Milly Blue. She's performing this weekend at Soundwave. I just met her. Top lass. We have been dancing for a few hours. She may well be sweatier than me! Impressive!

Week 9 winner

Hey y'all - this is week 9 winner Amelie! Not only is she lovely - but she's French! Her and her pal Raphael have arrived with me in Croatia to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Soundwave Festival. I used to be able to speak French pretty well, so the two of them have vowed to chat to me only in Franglais the whole weekend to improve my skills.
Amelie entered the Trident comp with just one code from one pack of gum - and here she is! As Gabrielle once sung.. Dreams can come true. ;)

MOST ENTERTAINING DANCER AWARD...

The Most Entertaining Dancer Award (a new award that I just made up) for the Monegros Desert Festival goes to this chap (below). While everyone else was sleeping on the floor and drooling tiredness into the sand and dust.. he kept us entertained with his stylish 7am moves. Mad.

Monegros money

Did I tell you? The Monegros Desert Festival had its own money (tokens) - 1 token = 1 Euro - that you had to use at the festival. Very beautifully designed. :)

The street entertainers in the city range from men dressed as stone statues, to girls covered in fruit... To this lovely lady singing gansta rap. :)

Good morning all! We have slept around 12 hours - much needed - and now have a few hours to explore Barcelona before our flight home. First stop - the local food market that's packed with fresh fruit, veg and meat and juices. Tasty :)
