French style
In general, Rock En Seine is quite serious. Compared to the daft fancy dressed merry fools you can chat to at British festivals (men in dresses, girls looking like fairies, friends arriving as ghostbusters etc), this event is much more "concerty". Doesn't mean I didn't do my darndest to find at least one mad looking Parisian however. Sweet fro bro :)
Final morning sight seeing!
And we managed to get over to Notre Dame. That's the lovely thing about some of these trips - not only do winners get to go to cool festivals in foreign countries, but there's a whole other side of fun-holiday-abroad that's include too! Excellent!
Oh and..
Bumped into my friend Matt yesterday! He plays in a Parisian metal band called Admirals Arms and is working at the festival at one of the stalls. Handy to have him act as a translator when I'm bundling up to strangers and asking them to kiss each other... All will be explained later on ;)
Final day at rock en Seine
... And the sky is ready for us! Yesterday was another great day at the festival. I met a load of English people who are regulars at the fest - and say they prefer it to all the usual events back home. The organisation of the stages here is brilliant - one starting as another ends - allowing for everyone to go watch all the acts and also have some time to go get the tasty grub. Prices are pretty high - but that's a pound-versus-euro thing as opposed to a French festival thing. I'm going to create a special food report for you as it's so tasty here. :)
