Cancun so far..

Day one in Cancun was all about sitting still. After plenty of flights and international time differences, myself and the winners sat still and kept calm in preparation for a week ahead of parties and excursions.
Here are some snaps from the day:

Week 24 has begun!

WOW. I have arrived in Cancun, Mexico and have been greeted with this view as I have some lunch. I genuinely didn't know places like this existed in real life. White sand and blue water. Amazing.

New Orleans - All the Photos

Check out all the pics from my weekend in New Orleans.. by CLICKING HERE! x Katie

Go Saints!

So the parade is now over, and I am ready to go watch the football with New Orleans locals. Everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for the New Orleans Saints to win the game. I have my black and gold beads on (thrown at me during the parade) to show my support.. though I may take off my mask once inside a bar.

WHO DAT!!!!

Halloween Parade

To celebrate Halloween this evening, the city held a parade through the French Quarter so that people could show off their outfits and dance around together. Check out the footage below. Was pretty awesome - and I have found that wearing a mask makes you much less self-conscious, and you can go crazy and dance with locals!

I Love New Orleans

Ya know, New Orleans has grown on me. Maybe because it feels a lot like London - mad happy drunk people and multiple cultures and history all squished together. I heart NOLA. For sure y'all.

What does Halloween mean to you?

In the UK, we are used to Halloween being all about bonfires and trick or treat and spooky stories and ghosts. Not so here in New Orleans (incidentally the Voodoo capital of America), where it seems Halloween is ALL about the fancy dress. Check out my report below - with chats with locals and store owners about the fancy dress phenomenon.

American Football

As previously mentioned.. tonight's football game features the New Orleans Saints.. versus the Pittsburg Steelers. The Saints' colours are gold and black.. whereas the Steelers's are black and yellow (as seen on two fans below) ... Confused? Yep, me too.

French cars

For some reason, the French Quarter is full of amazingly decorated cars.. check these out!

Frenchmen street

Frenchmen Street is in one of the 'rougher' parts of the French Quarter of New Orleans - but it's a street that has been recommended to me by grungey rockers working in shops in the city.. so I went to check it out!
